THREE STEPS TO WASHING THE RIGHT WAY

Please note that lambskins have self-cleaning properties and only need to be washed if they are heavily soiled. If the soiling is small, it can be rubbed off with a damp cloth. Otherwise, it is sufficient to simply hang them up in the fresh air.

1. WASHABLE AT 30°

Our WERNER CHRIST BABY lambskin products can be washed in the washing machine on a wool cycle at a maximum of 30°C. Please ensure that the washing machine is not overloaded and a lower spin speed is selected. Close any Velcro® fasteners. Products with metal parts should be washed in a fabric bag.

2. THE RIGHT DETERGENT

We recommend using our WERNER CHRIST C7 lambskin detergent. This is an environmentally friendly, economical concentrate that is perfectly matched to our products. Depending on the degree of soiling, we recommend a dosage of 30–50 ml C7 per 10 litres of water for a hand wash or per machine wash. Adding a normal fabric softener enhances the leather’s elasticity. Common household detergents for textiles or wool are not suitable for washing lambskin products. You should therefore check for any detergent residues inside your washing machine and remove them if necessary.

3. SUITABLE FOR TUMBLE DRYERS

After washing, you can tumble dry our lambskin products at temperatures of up to 40˚C. The movement in the dryer keeps the leather soft and elastic. Alternatively, you can dry the lambskin product outdoors, in the shade. Avoid exposing the product to direct sunlight or leaving it close to a heat source, as this could cause the lambskin to become brittle. Keep returning your lambskin to its original shape while it dries. As soon as the lambskin is dry, it can be brushed using a lambskin brush.
